Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is one of the Harvest Moon Series by Natsume Serious Fun. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns runs on the Nintendo DS and 3DS consoles. The reason for choosing this game as the best game is because harvest moon is one of the games that I like, almost all of the harvest series I have played but in my opinion this is the best series.
There are various new features in Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns that are obtained, starting from animals, farming methods and so on. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns tells the story of two cities, Bluebell and Konohana, who have different cultures that have very close relationships, but one day the two cities disagreed over which cities had the best cuisine, so the Harvest Goddess became angry and then closed the tunnel connecting the two cities. This dispute made the two cities rivals. In this game you are a farmer who will eliminate the feud between the two cities by entering a cooking contest every week.
At the start of the game you will choose your city where you live Bluebell, which has specialists in livestock such as chickens, cows, sheep, and new animals namely the alpaca and has little area to grow crops or Konohana, which has a wider farming area and cages for small animals, but if you change your mind you can move to another city every season.
Both cities have two different cultures, Bluebell is more European-style while Konohana is more Asian / Japanese, there are unique shops in each city, you can go between cities by mountain to shop. The main purpose of this game is to make the two cities get along again by taking part in a cooking contest and reopening the tunnel connecting the two cities.
What city you choose depends on your taste. You can buy items from stores in both cities, you can move cities once every season by submitting a request to the major, you can even marry people from other cities. The main point is deciding to live in a city where you prefer to concentrate on farming or do you prefer to farm livestock? Like harvest moon in general you can socialize with residents of each city, there are 12 characters that you can marry 6 prospective wives and 6 potential husbands.
You run quests from residents or your prospective husband / wife who can add to your socialization points. Each socialization that you do can add a number of points, the more you socialize, talk, give your favorite items will be preferred, can be shown by the amount of interest. If the villagers will have white flowers, if your future wife / husband will be colorful.
To make the two cities get along you have to take a weekly cooking contest with a different theme every week, salads, soups, main dishes, and dessert. You have to win this contest so that the two cities get along faster. The possibility of winning this contest is based on your cuisine and your other 2 friends because this contest is a contest of 3 people in one team in each city. You must have high quality food and proximity to your team partner, so that your chances of winning are higher.
When the two cities get along (can be shown by the number of hearts of the two cities) then the tunnel can be opened again, the main goal of the game has been reached, but like other harvest moon games, you can still continue this game, you can try the features unique in both cities.
